Well, to start with, I still cannot upload any pictures and so much has gone on!! We had a blast for Halloween and then we had her birthday party - even though Allie will not be 4 until December 14th, we celebrate the 1st weekend in November. The way James is working, he is not home for her birthday and it is too hard to do it with Thanksgiving and/or Christmas. So, ever since she has been here, we have had her party the 1st weekend in November. She had a blast and we have awesome pics to post one day!!

Anyway, today I was off work and we ran a few errands and I started working on my Christmas village. She was in her room playing and watching a movie. I needed to cut a few boards to adjust the size of my village to a smaller area than I usually use. I was outside in the driveway and I had the boards set up on saw horses, the cordless saw and other tools. I started cutting and the door flew open -- here she came running out the house - she heard the saw, here is our conversation:

Her -- Wait - that is my daddy's!!!
Me - yes I can use them too
Allie -- Well, you better be careful, don't want you to hurt yourself on daddy's stuff!!
Me - thank you and I will be careful

Then she saw me when I was using the level

Allie -- That is my daddy's too
Me. -- yes but I can use it also
Allie -- I hope you asked my daddy cause he don't like his tools messed up
Me -- yes I can use it when I need it

I then finished and started picking up

Allie -- Are you finished?
Me -- yes
Allie -- did you clean up??
Me -- yes - I am cleaning up now
Allie -- did you put my daddy's tools up??
Me -- yes I did
Allie -- are you sure??
Me -- yes
Allie -- my daddy don't like when you don't put his tools up!!!

My question is: When did she learn this cause her daddy never puts the tools back where they belong?????????

Sorry, I haven't posted in a while. I am having computer problems. For one reason or another - my Kodak will not load to blogspot!! I have just started having this problem and we just haven't been able to figure it out!

Allie & Meeshu

Well, we bought Meeshu home!! Does little girl look happy or what??? Meeshu was 4 1/2 weeks old and was weened from her mother, well that is what we were told!!! I had to get up every 3 - 4 hours during the night to feed her. She is now 6 1/2 weeks old and is now sleeping though the night. YEAH!! She has already been though every thing under the sun. Allie has had her do flips, dressed her in doll clothes and put diapers on her!! Meeshu is very playful and loves to chase Allie. Abbie (our other dog) is still not sure about this puppy. Abbie was Queen for a long time and then she had to put up with Allie and now a puppy!!!

Allie was talking to Hannah on the phone, she gave the phone to daddy and she started playing with the socks on the couch (load of clean clothes) she made sock puppets and then wanted to talk to Hannah again. She went to sit on her swing and talked to Hannah with her puppet. She had the puppet talking into the phone and she was so funny, changing her voice!! She also had her daddy's sock on her leg which went all the way to her thigh!! Enjoy!

Hurricane Gustav

We stayed home for Hurricane Gustav, we had my in-laws and sister-in-law here for several days. We also had my parents dog Gigi. The storm was not so horrible here at our house but my parents 5 streets over lost their big tree in the back yard and their sunroom roof now needs to be replaced - water is pouring in!! My in-laws had no damage 100 miles away except for a ceiling fan blade on the outside patio. They just had no electricity for over a week. We went to check out their house and saw many trees down and power lines laying on the street. Allie had lots of fun being out of school for a week and then having Paw Paw to play with. They enjoyed playing with stickers and also playing puppies!!! We also went to a friends house and Allie picked out her new puppy - she will be bringing her home in a few weeks!!

First Day of School

Allie started Pre-K 3 this week. She goes 3 days a week from 9-2. She absolutely loves school. Every day in the summer she would get up and ask if it was a school day. She loves her teacher and has most of the same kids from last year in her class. She loves going to music, she is already singing new songs!! Thanks to her awesome teachers!!!!!!!!!

Allie was talking to her grandmother on the phone and she told her that she was going to make cookies for her, she laid the phone down looked at me and said I need to make cookies for Maw Maw and you need to help ME!!!!!!!!!

So we went to visit this last weekend so she made cookies at Maw Maw's house. She really had a good time and enjoyed every minute of it!!!!!!!!!!! She has made cookies before but we made them from scratch this time.

We actually never went to the "real" beach. Everyone was sleeping in one morning so Allie and I walked across the street to walk on the beach!! Of course she got wet and at first wasn't to sure about the waves!! She loves sand as we had went to a private beach and she played for hours in the sand and in the water but there were no waves and the water actually had a cement bottom! It was more of a private lagoon with different areas. One area had water slides which she liked but loved playing in the sand!

Vacation

A Little of Everything

We have had a very busy summer. Hannah has been here most of the summer attending different camps. Allie has been busy being a 3 yr old. I taught several weeks of swimming lessons and now we are enjoying the summer. One day they washed the van and/or just played in the water. Also they played in the pool one day. I put Allie's play tent over the pool to keep them out of the direct sunlight they had a blast.

Allie found a frog and was trying to catch it, as I was getting the camera, Hannah caught the frog! Allie loved it and didn't want to let it go. She held it and told it how pretty it was and how much she loved it!!! The girls really had fun with it and even helped it hop around the grass before we came inside. Allie didn't want to let the "ribbit" go:)

Allie has her first Dance Recital for ballet and tap next weekend. Here are a few of the pics the photographer sent me. The contract was for up to 10 pics, 5 of each pose and we got a total of 31 pics. Now I have to pick from one to have my package printed. Yea Right!!!!!!!!!!!! The great thing is that we have the photographer rights to have any and all printed.

Sorry we are so behind in posting, Allie has been sick!! She wasn't feeling well and then had a stomach virus which continued with high fevers and we ended up in the emergency room and she is now recuperating from "Walking Pneumonia"

She is feeling much much better, she even told me on Sunday hey mommy the sun is back!! Well sweet girl the sun didn't go anywhere it was you that wasn't around for a day or two!!

Hopefully I will catch up this week and post some pics:)

This is why we don't buy Easter Candy!!!!!!!!!! This is the loot Allie got from all of her Maw Maw's, Paw Paw's, Gram's and MeRee's!!!!!!!!!! They either gave it to her in person or it came in the mail!!!! So Easter Bunny only brought a few packs of mini
M & M's. Now this doesn't show all the candy that were in the eggs that she got from 4 different Easter Egg Hunts!!!!

Happy 2nd Gotcha Day

Today marks the 2nd anniversary of the day the nanny handed me Allie:) Oh, what a happy day that was!!! She was 14 months old and weighed in at 15 pounds. She was being fed 6 bottles a day, some smashed apples, minced meat and bread. She was walking but could forget that she could walk! She was giving kisses and wanted to be held on her terms!! She also wanted to eat whatever you were eating and never took another bottle in China.

Now, she runs and jumps everywhere and weighs in at 29 pounds. She is right at 37 inches tall. She still gives kisses and wants to be held on her terms. She eats everything and loves her fruits and veggies. She still wants whatever you have on your plate. She also loves her sweets. She is a joy to be around and very sweet and thoughtful. She is also a clown and will try to tease or trick you whenever she can:)

She loves taking pictures and loves to pose for them!!!!

These are the same clothes she was wearing when she came into my arms!! They still fit, maybe I should say they almost fit her now since they were huge on her then. All the girls that day came in brand new outfits.

Allie asked to have her nails painted, she picked a purple glitter! I did her fingers and her toes and she wanted to do mine!! So I said ok and let her paint my toes - I said no for fingers!!!
Its a good thing I did after my toes were done - it might take all night for them to dry!!

We went to the airport to meet a new friend Mary coming in from China, while we were visiting. Allie decided to take her brush out of her purse and brush Dallas' hair. Dallas let her for a few minutes and then decided she didn't want to anymore. Mardi Gras Ball

Hannah was a Princess for the Queen. For those of you familiar with Mardi Gras, there is always a King and Queen and then they each have Princess's. These pictures were taken at the Queen's Ball. It was a formal ball where everyone was in beaded gowns and tuxes. We had a good time and Hannah was just beautiful when she was presented with the Queen. In two weeks is actually Mardi Gras. Hannah will wear her dress again and ride in the Parade on the Queen's float.

The girls had a blast dancing. Allie danced with everyone and even when she wasn't on the dance floor she was moving her shoulders to the music. Allie was given a small tierra by the Queen for her to wear at the ball:)

Christmas Program and Happy Birthday Jesus Party

I am so far behind in posting, Allie had a Christmas program where her class sang "Jingle Bells and Twinkle Twinkle" they were so cute.

The last day of school before the holidays was our "Happy Birthday Jesus Party". The kids had party hats that said Happy Birthday to Jesus and they sang, they were adorable. It was also Allie's turn to hold the flag during assemble in front of everyone.

This was taken before we went to the hair dresser and had it kinda fixed!!! I guess we can be thankful that it is not the bangs and not to the scalp!!!!

This one shows how short she cut it -- it is now like the 1st 3 pics, cut to her shoulders and we will just have to deal with it till it gets back to one length!!!

Allie was sitting at her table cutting paper and daddy was on the computer and she asked him to change her trash -- it was yucky -- so he did and then decided to look and exclaimed "YOU CUT YOUR HAIR" and she burst into tears and repeated she was "SO SORRY" by the time I found out they were both laughing!!!!!!!!!! We did have to cut about 5 inches!!!

We had Allie's 3rd Birthday Party early in November, since her actual birthday is in December and that is such a busy month we celebrated early with an outside party and bar-b-que! We had beautiful weather and she loved every minute of it!! Since we had the fun jump for the weekend, after Church on Sunday we had a few friends over for lunch and to play and don't forget the football game on tv, I don't think any of the dad's made it outside!!!

We went to a night wedding a couple of weeks ago. There were only a handful of children there. Allie had a blast playing with Janna who was "The Major Princess", one other princess and of course you need a prince and one other little boy. The kids had a blast dancing and never left the dance floor. According to Janna it was a "Princess Party" according to Allie it was Janna's Princess Party and we never even sang "Happy to You"!!!!!!!!!! She asked for almost a week when do we get to go and sing happy to you to Janna!!!!!!

Our friend Susan received her referral yesterday for Jewel Elizabeth! Today we surprised her with some "It's a girl" balloons. Allie brought them in to her office and she was totally surprised and started crying!!

Labor Day Weekend

Every year I volunteer for a camp for disabled children, it is called SKIP camp. SKIP stands for "Sick Kids (need) Involved People". This was the 14th year that I have attended camp. It is held every year on Labor Day Weekend. Since Hurricane Katrina, our camp was destoyed in Biloxi so we have not had camp the last 2 years. We have found a camp ground in Louisiana that was able to house all of us and 15 motorized wheelchairs. We really had a good time.

This was the first time that I left home and did not take Allie with me. I left her with her daddy and they went and picked up Hannah. Since camp was not too far away they were able to come up for the day on Saturday. They had a good time and did not want to leave.

Now the thing about this camp is that it is for the whole family not just the disabled child. To qualify to attend this camp, the child has to have some type of technology helping them live. Lots of these kids have trachs and are on ventalators to help them breathe or on feeding tubes to get the nutrition they need. These kids are all very happy and we had so much fun.

This is a very special camp and the kids are very special. I thank God everyday for what we have and especially for blessing us with Allie!!!

Well, we have been really busy! I have been busy teaching lots of swimming lessons and my wonderful hubby has been watching the girls while he was putting down my new wood floors!!! Isn't he wonderful!! Anyway while I have been away and he was really busy, Allie was very busy staying out of the way -- she played in her room and looks like she took out every toy she owns!! Hannah was such a wonderful big sister, she kept her juice cup filled and gave her snacks and took her potty!! She helped daddy whenever he needed help too!!! Thanks to my wonderful family -- I now have beautiful wood floors in the kitchen, dining room and living room.

Hannah's Birthday

We celebrated Hannah's 10th birthday last week. We had a wonderful time with lots of family and friends. We had a fun jump delivered at 8:30 in the morning on Saturday and had it thru Sunday afternoon. The kids stayed in it till after 9p.m. It started out to be a Lilo and Stitch party but we couldn't find much Lilo things so it turned into a Luau and the girls all wore Hawaiin Moo Moo's!!

Swimming Lessons

Allie loves her swimming lessons, we weren't sure how much she remembered from last year but today was her 3rd day and she is already swimming underwater and jumping off the side. She has not been in a pool til now!! I am so lucky, I have taught swimming for 23 years and usually you cannot teach your own child but she did so well last year and again this year!!

She is so funny instead of reaching for my hands to come up out of the water, she pushed them away to stay under as long as possible!!

Last Day of Gymnastics for this Year!!

This was Allie's last day of Gymnastics, she asks everyday to go back!! We will start again in September!

Since she has finished Gymnastics, we have added two things to our house, one for the living room!! The other is for outside!!

This is Allie's new trampoline for the living room!! She jumps in it all day and lays in it to watch her movies and then jumps some more!!

This is a bounce house for outside! It is a small fun jump!

We put it in the house the first day and then got the other one the next day!! With the motor it is too loud for the house, the other one has no motor!!

She was taking a break! She just loves to jump so much!!!

Monster's On Ice

We went to see Disney's Monster's on Ice show yesterday. Allie had so much fun, especially since this is one of her favorite movies and because we went with her good friend Emily.

Easter Weekend

Friday we went to a friends house and we dyed eggs, then they had an Easter Egg Hunt. They played outside and blew bubbles and had lots of fun. When it was time to leave Allie didn't want to, she was having so much fun with the older girls. The girls think they are to old for all the fun so they invite friends that have little ones and then they help them and play with them.

Easter Egg Hunt at School

We had a Easter Egg Hunt at School on Wednesday, our last day for over a week. YEA!!!!!! We did have to do it inside due to weather, it was supposed to rain and looked like it was going to pour any moment, it never did!!!

Ok, just to explain this post, FFFF stands for "Family Foto Fun Friday."
Donna at Double Happiness started this and every friday posts a new challange! We have been following Gwen and Maddie (Double Happiness) for awhile and now that we are up and running we are going to jump in and play!!! This week's challenge is Bubbles, since that is one of our favorite topics and we have lots of pics of bubbles just taken in the last two weeks this will be an easy one!!

We had tubes put in and adnoids taken out!!!
Allie did wonderful and had her checkup yesterday and is perfectly fine!! After the last few months of several ear infections we decided to do the tubes and hopefully this will end all the ear infections.

Easter Egg Hunt

We belong to a local playgroup which consists of children that have been adopted from China and their siblings. We usually meet once a month on a saturday to let the girls play together or go some place special.

In March we met at a park and had an "Easter Egg Hunt"!!

The girls had lots of fun and they fed the ducks and played on the playground.

2nd Day at Gymnastics

Ok, this was our 2nd time at Gymnastics, we sure like it alot!!!

This set of pics, Allie walked on the balance beam and then was flipped in the air and landed on her feet!!

They did front rolls on mats and then was taught how to raise their arms and say "TA-DA"!!

She hung from the uneven parallel bars and then they flipped over!!

This time they stood on the bottom bar and reached for the top bar and then turned around and jumped down!! Don't forget the "TA-DA"

We are learning alot in this class, Allie jumps around the house instead of walking, of course for those who know us also knows she has down this since 15 months old. She is always jumping and doing front rolls across the sofa or the floor. She flips from our laps over backwards and will do it until you make her stop.

Children's Museum

Okay, we are almost caught up todate:) Last week my neice Donna came into town with her two children, Kate and Neil and we spent the afternoon at the Children's Museum. We had lots of fun blowing bubbles and playing in their restaurant.

First Day at Gymnastics

This is our first day of Gymnastics!! I got a teacher to start a 2 yr old class, since we have nothing in our area. The teacher, Trisha, told me if I found 2 - 3 girls she would have a class so I did, some of our friends from school!! Emily and Madison. The girls are really having fun. Gotcha Day Fun

Also on Feb 21, We thought it would be fun to see if her clothes that she came in last year still fit. Well not only did they still fit they are still too big!! The shoes still fit also, they fit perfectly. She has gained 7lbs since coming home but the outfit was way too big last year and now just a little!! She had fun dressing in it and playing peek a boo. When she came home she weighed 17lbs and was 28 1/2 inches tall, she could still where some 9 month clothes but mostly 12 month. She wore a size 4 shoe. Now, she is 24.6 lbs and 33 inches tall. She is in 18 to 24 month clothes, depending what it is. She needs the 24 month for the length in her legs. She is wearing size 5 shoes and almost needs a 5 1/2. Here are the pics from that we took that day!!

Gotcha Day Celebration

We had our "Gotcha Day" a few weeks ago!! We actually celebrated twice, once with family and friends a few days early with cake and presents and then on the actual day, we went out to eat, of course Chinese, with close friends.

Chinese New Year

Hannah asked to give Allie her bottle and rock her to sleep. We were very surprised that Allie agreed to this, Allie sometimes has mommy issues when it comes to going to bed (she only wants her mommy)!!! As you can see from the pics, Hannah is a very happy "Big Sister"

We went to Mardi Gras Parades and Allie had a blast, we caught tons of beads, Allie was given 3 purses and at least a dozen stuffed animals. Allie was playing football with Dad and sister Hannah. She loved having wagon rides with friends. Allie at home with her and Hannah's loot.

Allie has been sick this last week, she went to the emergency room twice over the weekend, both times she had x-rays and blood work done. As she really hates the doctor's office this was really hard on her. She cried most of the time we were there. Anyway she ended up having "walking pneumonia", we have since seen the pediatrician and she is on her way to recovery. She can return to school tomorrow. She is feeling much better!! Will post some pics soon and will also post some from disney. Take Care!
